Founded in 1974, Ashland Construction Company is a leading commercial contractor providing comprehensive construction-related services, with a specialization in retail projects. Particular emphasis is placed on design-build projects and long-term relationships with our clients, employees and vendors. Located in Raleigh, NC, Ashland is licensed in an eight-state area along the eastern seaboard.

In addition to general contracting, Ashland provides a wide range of construction and preconstruction services. Among the preconstuction services are site suitability analysis; permit/regulatory investigations; utility availability evaluation; building design studies; estimating/budgeting; project scheduling; value engineering; plan design, permitting and approvals. Ashland's construction activities include site work and building construction, including tenant upfit work. These services are performed on either a design-build basis or in accordance with plans and specifications provided by others.

Utilizing a design-build approach, Ashland will assume the Owner's obligations to convert a tenant's lease exhibit requirements to construction-ready plans and specifications; obtain approval of the plans and specifications from the Owner, tenant and all relevant governmental agencies; perform the construction; obtain all required approvals of the completed construction; and coordinate issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy and opening of the project. In summary, Ashland will work with a developer from project conception to grand opening.
